It all begins with Jesus! He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end! He is the true leader of the church. Not only does He serve as the example to all believers, He is the source of our right standing with God! The blessings of God in Christ are all made available to us through faith! Do you know Him? Pastor
Pastor Mike was born and raised in Western CT. After sensing a call to ministry in High School, he attended the Berkshire Institute For Christian Studies in Lenox, MA and then went on to Toccoa Falls Bible College in Northeast Georgia. He has held pastorates and ministry positions in Georgia, Florida, Virginia and feels blessed to call Eastern NC their home for the past 10 years. He has 4 wonderful children ranging from 14-23 years in age. Pastor Mike is an avid woodworker, sports enthusiast, and loves exploring the great outdoors!
Elders
Our Church is congregationally governed, but affirms the pattern of New Testament churches to be led by a plurality of Elders. Elders serve to shepherd a congregation by providing spiritual direction and protection for the congregation (1 Thessalonians 5:12–13; 1 Timothy 5:17–18; 1 Peter 5:5; Hebrews 13:17). We are blessed to have these three men serving as our church’s elders:
Countless Volunteers
United could never accomplish our mission without the input of many dedicated volunteers and servant leaders. From deacons and deaconesses to teachers and trustees, we all play an important role in the proclamation of the gospel!
